What's allowed

Can I put a roof in a dumpster?

Yes. Roofing shingles and tear-off debris are allowed in our 16-yard dumpsters. Just tell us at booking so we can plan the load — shingles are heavy and a full roof can exceed the 2 tons of disposal included in the $375 flat price.

How much roof fits in a 16-yard dumpster?

Asphalt shingles weigh roughly 230–250 lbs per square (a 10×10 ft area). The 16-yard trailer's 2 tons of included disposal covers about 16–17 squares, which is enough for many single-story North Texas homes. Larger or multi-layer tear-offs will likely go over 2 tons, and the overage is billed at the landfill rate.

What we need to know at booking

  • Approximate squares of roof you're tearing off
  • How many layers (single layer vs. two layers)
  • Whether decking is being replaced too

What can't go in with the roof

No paints, solvents, batteries, propane tanks, or appliances. Everything roofing- related is fine — shingles, felt, flashing, nails, plywood scraps.
